Emilio Collavino was born in Italy and attended the University Politecnico Di Milano, where he earned a degree in Industrial Design.
During his studies, he became interested in photography, and while delving into photography, he was able to move away from the stereotype of the photographer who seeks the perfect photo with all its emotional attachments, and instead focus more on the research and the narration point of view.
Eventually he decided to leave his country, moving to the United States in order to further his photographic career and expand his knowledge on the American culture while observing and studying the evolution of Architecture's meaning in our society.
In this digital age, where photography moves from reality to some sort of virtual-surrogate, Emilio continues to develop his credo of the dignity a photograph should always retain.
Emilio now lives and works between Miami Beach and Milan.
